Description:The Facilities Support Manager requires someone with a track record for successfully managing a dynamic facility in a Government or Corporate Office environment. This manager must have experience in help desk support, driving support, moving and material handling support, waste management, office administration support and must have experience with high-level client interaction as well. The work location will be in Washington, DC.
Duties:Information Technology and Help Desk Support
• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically
• Diagnose, research questions using available information resources, resolve issues, and advise user on appropriate action
• Follow standard help desk procedures, and log all help desk interactions
• Redirect problems to appropriate resource
• Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
• Prepare activity reports
• Stay current with system information, changes and updates
Driving Support
• Provide driving support to senior personnel as needed

Moving and Material Handling Support
• Provide internal moving support to the client such as rolling a cart of boxes from one office to another as needed
• Assisting in providing support to maintain the supply closet space to include taking inventory of items on a monthly basis

Waste/Recycling Management
• Assisting in meeting contractors that have been hired to perform waste management/ recycling and shredding service

Office Support
• Assisting in service calls on office space and facilities management
• Provide ongoing evaluation, implementation and ongoing support of the facility
• Manage the receiving function e.g. Picking up mail, newspapers and packages daily from the loading dock and distributing to the correct personnel
• Provide print and reproduction support by checking copy machines for paper and assisting in placing service calls as needed
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients e.g. Interfacing and working with vendors that work in the building; and interfacing and working with government customers
• Attends client meetings for facilities matters
• Provides administrative office support
• Provide ongoing written documentation and status report on the assigned projects to the program manager
• Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university or a minimum of four years of related experience and/or training, preferably in a government contract or corporate environment
• Experience in help desk support
• Knowledge of maintenance trades
• Familiarity with telecommunications equipment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Highly developed time-management, task prioritization, problem-resolution and organizational skills, as well as work under firm and quick turnaround deadlines
• Effective written and verbal communication skills (must be able to craft original correspondence)
• Ability to effectively respond to sensitive issues, complex inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management, and prepare reports
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to read and follow basic floor plans
• Ability to left 50 lbs, walk and stand for extended periods of time
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Corporate Account Manager
